2017 4th of July Parade

Once again, Post 937, lead another great 4th of July parade with a four member color guard consisting of Chris Lecce, Chris Von Shilgen, Stanton Goodermote, and Wally O'Neil while other Post 937 members and veterans enjoyed a ride on the Veteran's Float.

It was good to see some members of the community rise and stand at attention, as the colors passed by; something that all Americans should do whenever our Nation's flag passes, in a precession.

Thank you to Laura Saunders (Taconic Mountains Insurance Co.) for organizing the Veteran's Float and to Burkick Excavating, in Petersburgh, for supplying the trailer and pulling the float.  It's involvment like this from our communities that makes all the difference to our veterans. We look forward to having this float or something like it, in next years Memorial Day parade.
